Tawas Point State Park, MI Built in 1852, this lighthouse had to be moved in 1876 because the land it sits on had moved more than a mile due to shifting sands. The lighthouse is still in operation and is cared for by the US Coast Guard.

Old Cheboygan Lighthouse Ruins Cheboygan, MI This lighthouse was originally built on unsafe ground and had to be abandoned in the 1920s. Vandals damaged it to the point where it had to be torn down.
