Lake Superior

 

Grand Island East Channel Light

Located On Grand Island, MI (near Munising)

Built in 1863, this lighthouse can be seen from the 

Pictured Rocks Cruise boat.

Whitefish Point Light

Whitefish Point, MI

Built in 1861, this light is located near the site of many

shipwrecks including the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Point Iroquois Lighthouse

 Whitefish Bay, MI

Built in 1870, this lighthouse is located near the 

entrance to St. Mary's River and the Soo Locks.  

Decommissioned in 1962.

Copper Harbor Light

Copper Harbor, MI

Built in 1866, this lighthouse was automated in 1919 

and decommissioned in 1927.  This light can only be 

accessed by boat.

Eagle Harbor Light

Keweenaw Peninsula, MI

Built in 1871, this lighthouse is still active. 

The keepers dwelling is operated as a

public museum.
