Ken and Marcie in front of La Tour Eiffel- Oui!
Marcie standing next to the make-shift memorial to Princess Diana, who died directly under this bridge, in the tunnel "Pont de l'Alma" in August 1997.
L'Arc de Triomphe, as viewed from the top of La Tour Eiffel. Napoleon had the Arc built to honor his troops. It was completed in 1836. We were able to climb to the top of the Arc- all 286 stairs!
Marcie standing in the gardens behind Notre Dame. Notre Dame is a famous cathedral located on Ile de la Cite, an island in the Seine River in the middle of Paris.
An eerie photo from the infamous Paris Catacombs. Back in the late 1700's, Paris needed more space, and thus relocated bodies from multiple cemeteries to the catacombs. There are literally miles of tunnels flanked by skulls and bones. As you can see, someone got creative when stacking the bones!
La Tour Eiffel lit up at night. This is really quite a sight in person, and it can be seen from most of Paris.
